No previous vehicle buying experience in Canada? That’s okay, our Newcomer Program can give you the opportunity to enjoy a new Ford vehicle of your own. Buying a vehicle is one of the first big purchases you may make while establishing yourself in Canada. Ford Credit is dedicated to help you every step of the way to ensure you get into the vehicle that’s right for you.

Customer Eligibility

We will require a copy of the listed identification document below during the credit application process:

Landed Immigrants: Permanent Resident Card IMM5688 or IMM5292
OR
International Students: Study permit IMM1208 or IMM1442 and Proof of Enrolment
OR
Foreign Workers: Work Permit IMM1102 or IMM1442

Newcomer applicants are evaluated based on their individual creditworthiness while applying the following fundamentals:

No prior automotive finance history on credit bureau
No derogatory credit:
- No current delinquent accounts; and
- No accounts with past delinquencies >90 days past due; and
- No charge-offs >$500; no repossessions, foreclosures, bankruptcies
Verifiable monthly income sufficient to cover vehicle payment, ordinary living expenses, and all outstanding debt.

Requirements

$1,000 minimum down-payment on Retail contracts
- Vehicles eligible for Ford of Canada’s rebate program require a minimum of $500 cash down payment and $500 rebate for a minimum down payment of $1,000
- Vehicles ineligible for Ford of Canada’s rebate require a minimum of $1,000 cash down payment
